24th October 2009 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Gusty Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 16 Sea Temperature: OK Weather: Sun and cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: Late afternoon session after the rain had passed through. Warm and sunny with the wind was coming through in bursts. 5.8 was not nearly enough in the lulls, but way overpowered in the gusts. Not really enough time to re-rig so whacked on more down and outhaul - much improved, but still too much power to gybe properly in the chop. Bruised and battered after an hour - Sunday should be better as with more west in the wind it is usually less gusty at Blithfield. |
